Mitchell Cohen is the Chief Operating Officer of Westdale Construction Co. Limited and President and CEO of Urbanfund Corp. During his career spanning more than 35 years, he has acquired extensive expertise in urban planning, real estate sales, acquisitions and development, investing and financing, and infrastructure construction. This is complemented by many years of business leadership and management experience.

Mr. Cohen’s previous positions include management roles with such prominent real estate companies as Woodcliffe Corporation, Revenue Properties Company Limited, Canadian Pacific Properties and Marathon Realty Company Limited. He began his career as Manager of Airport Planning  at Transport Canada.

He has a bachelor’s degree in urban and regional planning from Ryerson University as well as certificates in economics and public administration. He has spoken at a number of institutions and organizations, including Ryerson University, York University, the University of Toronto, the Canadian Urban Institute, the Toronto Historical Board (Heritage Toronto), the Canadian Institute of Planners, the Institute of Transportation Engineers and the Institute of Hazardous Materials Management.

Mr. Cohen has been a member of the Cominar Board of Trustees since May 2019. He has also served as a director of several private companies and non-profit organizations over the years.
